Biography
Taylor DiVico was born in Syracuse, NY in 1977. She was infamously named after writer, Taylor Caldwell, and singer, James Taylor as her mother shared a deep love for literature and her father, a passion for music- both of which continue to play an integral role in Taylor's life.
As a child, Taylor showed an evolving interest in music. She proceeded to become classically trained and highly accomplished in both violin and piano at a young age. Consequently, as an adult, Taylor continued to grow as a writer with music as her greatest inspiration and outlet.
Taylor attended the University of Rhode Island and graduated with a degree in Philosophy in 1999, absorbing many of the concepts that would later sculpt her novels and poetry. She attributes those years to a certain enlightenment of the spirit and opening of the mind.
After completing her graduate degree from Syracuse University in 2001, DiVico moved to California, where she finished her first novel, Existing the Moments. After several years on the West Coast, DiVico returned to her East Coast roots, residing in south Florida, at which point, she published Existing the Moments.
Taylor's love and appreciation for music continues to drive her writing. In her spare time, she continues to review bands as a freelance journalist. DiVico has several new endeavors in the works. Next to come is a book of poetry, three new fictions, and a children's series.
